600,000 went to the Isle of Wight in August 1970 to see the only real legendary rock guitarist the world has ever seen - Jimi Hendrix. How could anyone possibly measure up to him?
Well, when you listen to Are You Experienced?, featuring John Campbell, you very quickly realise that it can be done! The guitar work is note perfect, and at the same time beautifully fluent. The voice IS Hendrix, and the persona of the man himself is on the stage, personified by John Campbell, who bears a striking physical resemblance to Jimi.
