Willy Russell's sharp and witty comedy explores what happens when one man dares to dream. Meet Dennis, on the verge of yet another birthday and a potential mid-life crisis! Trapped in a world of social clubs and social climbing, the would-be-wanderer is desperate to escape his mundane middle class existence before middle age firmly takes its hold. His wife is smug and self-satisfied. His neighbours are content non-achievers. But as Dennis fantasises about the past and shares his dreams to change the future, the veneers hilariously begin to crack and hidden emotions are laid bare.
