Now free from her duties as Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords, Baroness Williams, better known to us as Shirley Williams is taking to the stage with her new, one woman show - An Audience with Baroness Shirley Williams.
A well loved and respected politician, Baroness Williams reveals what life is like behind the closed doors of the Westminster village.
Shirley Williams was one of the famous Gang of Four who broke away from the Labour Party to found a new political party - the Social Democratic Party. Following the 1987 election, she was instrumental in the creation of the Liberal Democrats.
In 1993 Shirley Williams entered Parliament as a peer and chose to use her old constituency of Crosby in her title; Baroness Williams of Crosby. She served as the Party's spokesperson on Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and was later elected Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords.
This is a night definitely not to be missed by anyone interested in finding out the secrets of power in Parliament.
