Travel back in time to the Edwardian era in this recreation of a typical musical evening from 1912, in the company of pianist and actor Michael Lunts, who recently appeared at the Garrick in his one-man portrayal of Chopin, The Last Ballade, and international cellist, Melanie Dennerly.
The Titanic has recently sunk on its maiden voyage and the Suffragettes are making their voices heard throughout the land. The cello has become a very popular solo instrument and Saint-Saen's The Swan, Mendelssohn's Song without Words, and Elgar's Salut d'Amour all feature in this nostalgic and witty musical evening recreating a bygone era. Vocal items from Michael's extensive repertoire of comic songs will also feature and will include of course, Gilbert and Sullivan.
