Duration: 110

This event will go off sale with Lichfield Garrick Box Office at 3pm on Monday 9th July. Tickets can be purchased from the venue on the door, subject to availability.

The Music Makers

The Cardinall’s Musick have won the Gramphone Early Music Award no fewer than 4 times. Directed by Andrew Carwood (Director of Music, St Paul’s Cathedral) this successful and innovative ensemble is known for its extensive study of rennaissance music and premieres of commissioned music.

In The Music Makers, they showcase both strands of their repertoire, featuring Padilla, Praetorius and Byrd with some superb music written for the group in recent years: Judith Weir’s suave settings of George Herbert and Paul Crabtree’s tear-jerking treatment of words by Shaker writer, Ann Lee.
