About The Critic
Join us at Burntwood Afternoon Cinema for The Critic, a deliciously witty period drama starring Ian McKellen at his magnificent best as a fearsome 1930s theatre critic whose acid-tongued reviews terrorise London's West End. This sumptuous thriller, featuring stellar performances from Gemma Arterton and Lesley Manville, weaves together romance, intrigue and delightfully sharp dialogue (occasionally on the salty side!) into a thoroughly entertaining afternoon's viewing. Come along to our warm and friendly community cinema on Tuesday 18th February at 2pm, where you'll find good company, engaging conversation, and a proper cuppa with biscuits from 1:30pm. Tickets just £5 - because great films are even better when shared with friends.
The Burntwood Afternoon Cinema is a monthly gathering where the community can enjoy new and recent films at an affordable price, with tickets priced at just £5 (before booking fees).
Our aim is to positively contribute to the well-being of our local community by providing entertainment and a welcoming space for residents to come together, meet new people, and have an enjoyable time.
