Artist in Residence Series

21st Century Cabaret

Returning to Lichfield after her acclaimed Peace Cabaret in 2016, Jessica Walker begins her 2018 residency with an especially-curated cabaret to celebrate the centenary of votes for women. With iconic songs by writers from Mae West to Leonard Cohen, and accompanied by pianist Joseph Atkins, Jessica takes us on a journey through girl power in song: from Joan of Arc through to the pioneering suffragettes at the turn of the 20th century, on to the song-bird activists of the hippy era and beyond.

#ExtraordinaryWomen

Make an evening of it with a delicious 2-course dinner at our hosts, McKenzie’s (7pm), or just settle in for the show at 8.30pm.

This event is presented by Lichfield Festival, with Lichfield Garrick acting as a ticket agent.
