After a record-breaking panto run last year, Lichfield Garrick Theatre is gearing up for the return of its ever-popular Christmas Spectacular with Robin Hood.  

This year’s panto promises hilarious comedy, beautiful costumes, fantastic music, magic and mayhem, and is scheduled to run at the Garrick from the 20th of November 2026 to the 10th January 2027.

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join our panto team as Stage Crew. This will be a fixed term contract beginning on the 9th of November 2026 and ending on the 10th of January 2027. You will be working across 6 days a week between 08:00 and 23:00 (up to 3 performances per day). 

Duties: 

  • All duties required of a member of crew, directed by the stage management team
  • Ensuring the stage is set at all required points pre, during and post-performance
  • Using the correct manual handling requirements to ensure the lifting and moving of equipment is done correctly and safely
  • You will be present for all tech and dress dates and all performances 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Strength and experience working as part of a team
  • Previous operation of working within theatre or backstage is ideal
  • Experience lifting and moving items such as scenery
  • The ability to follow instructions and adhere to all Health & Safety requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A friendly positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time-keeping

Key Dates: 

Fit up: 9 Nov - 14 Nov

Tech / Dress Rehearsals: 16 Nov - 20 Nov 

First Public Performance: 20 Nov 

Final Public Performance: 10 January 2027
