Did you know that Lichfield is now a Purple Flag city?
Purple Flag is an international accreditation programme that aims to reward cities like ours, who strive to create a safe and thriving location at night for anyone and everyone.
Lichfield was recently awarded Purple Flag accreditation, which means our city has been recognised for creating a safe, lively and welcoming place for all to enjoy after dark. This is a fantastic achievement for our city and all our fantastic businesses and organisations who keep the music playing and the food flowing all night long, whilst keeping us all safe!
We're all joining forces to celebrate Purple Flag Week from 23rd – 30th May 2025, and shine a light on everything that makes our community truly special.
Throughout the week, you'll have the chance to enjoy everything from exclusive offers and events to purple-themed specials. We're thrilled to be part of Lichfield's buzzing night time economy and to stand alongside our peers to cultivate an inclusive space for everyone, whether they're local or visiting us from afar.
We'll be lighting the Garrick up in Purple to celebrate, so if you around at night, then be sure to have a little walk over to the theatre!
