What’s your connection to / interest in the Garrick?

I live in Lichfield and, as well as it being a beautiful place with a rich history, I am impressed with the range of high-quality entertainment in the City, especially the Garrick.

I am passionate about the performing arts and am very clear about the force for good it can be in people’s lives, and in bringing communities together.

I feel fortunate to have such a good theatre as the Garrick on my doorstep, and love the diversity of its programme, truly something for everyone.

The community outreach work is also impressive, especially Creative Burntwood, an excellent initiative.

What’s your professional experience?

I am a qualified lawyer and my experience is mainly in the law and in governance; I have run my own governance advice consultancy since 2019, advising mainly Housing Associations and charities.

What are you most excited about for the Garrick?

I am privileged to serve on the Garrick Board and am excited about the opportunity to build on the strong foundations created by the current team. I would like the Garrick to be known as a pre-eminent arts venue, delivering a great customer experience, and making a really positive contribution to the local community.
