What’s your connection to / interest in the Garrick?

I am originally from the Midlands and have a particular passion for supporting midlands artists and audiences. I am drawn to the Garrick’s close relationship with the local community. I am excited about the next chapter for the theatre and supporting it to fulfil its potential.

What’s your professional experience?

I’m a theatre director, producer and dramaturg who specialises in developing new plays and musicals. I currently work as the Development Associate for Anthology in the West End. Previously I was the New Work Associate and Head of Creative Programmes at Curve in Leicester and Artist Development Producer for Nottingham Playhouse. I’ve worked as a freelancer directing and producing shows. I’ve set up festivals, artist development programmes and projects with young people and local communities. I was runner-up for the RTST Sir Peter Hall Directing Award, an alumni of the Royal Court writers programme and Stage One Bridge The Gap, and a Clore Leadership Fellow.

What are you most excited about for the Garrick?

I’m especially looking forward to seeing what happens through the Garrick 20 project and seeing the theatre build new relationships with schools and the community.
