Chair & Trustee Opportunities
Following a successful round of Trustee Recruitment in 2023 and the recent adoption of an ambitious new creative and business plan for the venue, we’re looking for a new Chair and additional Trustees to complete the team we need to steer the Garrick confidently into the next stage of its development.
If you share our enthusiasm for the performing arts, enjoy thinking strategically and working collaboratively, and can bring diverse professional and personal experience to our Board, then we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for a dynamic new Chair or Co-Chairs who can work in partnership with our Artistic Director & CEO and our wider Board to drive delivery of the transformational change we want to see at the Garrick, for the benefit of audiences in Lichfield and from across the West Midlands. This is an opportunity to really make a difference within the cultural life of the region.
We’re also looking to recruit new Trustees, with a particular focus on enhancing the diversity of the board, developing our commercial and trading activities, overseeing health & safety and widening our representation from local communities.
We welcome applications from everyone, regardless of their experience or background or whether they’ve been a trustee before. If you believe in the power of theatre to transform communities and think that more people should be able to engage with culture, we want to hear from you! We particularly encourage applications from Disabled, Black, Asian, and other global majority background candidates, as these groups are currently underrepresented within our team.
