Lichfield Film Club: Four Mothers

Lichfield Film Club is proud to present a rare screening of Four Mothers - a 2024 Irish comedy film, directed by Darren Thornton, and starring James McArdle and Fionnula Flanagan.

The film tells the story of how a writer, about to publish his new novel, is forced to take care of three eccentric older women – as well as his own mother - over the course of one chaotic weekend in Dublin.

Four Mothers has been critically acclaimed, having won the Festival Audience Award at the 2024 BFI London Film Festival, and having received seven nominations at the Irish Film & Television Awards, including for best film, best script, and best international actor.
