In partnership with BLAST — a charity supporting autistic children, young people and their families — Lichfield Garrick delivered a ten-week drama programme in summer 2025 designed to build confidence, communication and creative skills. Sessions took place both at BLAST’s base in Burntwood and at the Garrick Studio, led by an experienced drama facilitator.

Through drama games and collaborative storytelling, participants devised their own characters and narrative, which ultimately developed into a short film incorporating puppetry, comedy and physical theatre. The project culminated in a special screening and performance sharing for families, celebrating the young people’s work.

The programme had a significant positive impact, with participants growing in confidence, forming new friendships and discovering new ways to express themselves.
