Paul Spicer says: Being able to programme and conduct Bach’s St Matthew Passion is like winning the lottery! To my mind it is the greatest work created by the human mind – no more, no less.
To be able to perform it in the stunning surroundings of Lichfield Cathedral with a superb choir, world class soloists and orchestra is one of the greatest privileges imaginable.
The 9th of March 2024 will be a red letter day when we really hope to bring Bach’s ‘Great’ Passion to life once more and give a performance which will live long in the memory of audience and performers alike. Come and share this experience with us.
