Quill Featuring Bev Bevan

Midlands based band Quill are delighted to be celebrating 50 years in the music business!

It’s been quite a journey and their show will feature favourite songs they have played from 1973 to the present day. It will be a fantastic trip down memory lane for all the longstanding wonderful fans Quill have built up over the years - and for anyone who enjoys classic songs played and performed by great musicians.

So, get ready for a fabulous night of music featuring the legendary Bev Bevan. In 2017, Bev was inducted into The Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame, having notched up 50 million + album sales with a music career that spans 60 years, performing with The Move, E.L.O and Black Sabbath. During the show, Quill will pay homage to Bev’s illustrious career, giving the Quill sound to memorable tunes, Blackberry Way, Flowers in The Rain, Telephone Line and Don’t Bring Me Down to name a few.

Some amazing talent has come from the Midlands music scene The Moody Blues, Black Sabbath, Denny Laine, Robert Plant, Slade, Steve Winwood, The Fortunes, The Move and E.L.O to mention a few, Quill are currently recording an album, tentatively titled Midland Beat, to be released alongside the tour. Some of these tracks will be played by Quill on the night to pay tribute to these talented Midlands musicians.

It's not easy to sum up Quill in a few words, but when you draw on deep diverse musical sources, and when long lifetimes of experience inform your stage craft and presentation, wonderfully interesting things can and do happen.

If you're not already a fan of Quill, you will be after seeing what promises to be a superb night of music.
