At the Lichfield Garrick Theatre, we believe in providing young people with the tools, insights, and opportunities needed to explore a future in the performing arts and creative industries.

What We Can Do For You

We offer dedicated 5-day work experience placements across the academic year for students aged 14–18 (currently in full-time education).

During your week with us, you won't just observe! You'll get a real, hands-on look at how a professional venue operates. You'll spend time with every key department, exploring diverse industry roles including:

Technical & Stage Management: Lighting, sound and stage operations
Creative & Production: Stage design, directing and workshop planning
Theatre Operations & Front of House: Visitor experience and audience management
Arts Administration & Marketing: PR, social media and audience engagement

Placement Dates

We offer two choices of weeks during the academic year:

Week 1: Mon 24th - Fri 28th May 2027
Week 2: Mon 28th June - Fri 2nd July 2027

Specialised Industry Workshops

In addition to our week-long placements, we regularly host practical, single-day workshops tailored to specific creative disciplines, such as set design, lighting design, or sound engineering.
